Amethyst is one of the most famous and prominent crystals because of its beautiful coloration as well as its spiritual and literal meaning. The spiritual meaning of Amethyst is groundedness, tranquility, and calm. The literal meaning of Amethyst is “not intoxicated” – its name translates from the Greek word améthystos.
It is physically strong material when you look at the Mohs hardness scale. Amethyst crystal is 7 and it is same as a steel nail!!! Stronger it gets, more value it has. Because we want something forever.

This is my latest Amethyst necklace. You see this clear and shining stone with beautiful cut. In fact, I kept these beautiful tear drop beads in a box with lot of other stones with tools because I had to stay on my mountain home during pandemic shut down and I forgot about this box. Staying in box with steel tools and other gemstones didn’t make any scratch on it. How amazing.!
I also found another reason why February is Purple month besides Amethyst birthstone. February’s month flower is Violet! Who made this arrangement ? They must have worked on something matching!
If you stay close to nature, you must have seen this small humble but very vibrant purple flowers . It’s most associated meaning is surprisingly ’Love’. Ok, at this point, I really start to think someone really worked on this arrangement to match things. February, amethyst, violet , love then Valentine’s Day! All in February. Someone really want us to fall in love and have good start of New Years! January is too hectic but February is real settle for New Years.
